The morning after the night before, testing some Korean facial products. Needless to say, it worked, my skin is plump (I must admit I don't have deep wrinkles actually I don't have any) but the product I tested was non-evasive, delicate and the effects was I would buy it for an every other week pick me up

Okay, okay I may have changed base on my place to go on a Sunday morning.
I have a sense of guilt over that, I love Harry's it's a blessed space but
Zoo, Newland Avenue
Is a walk away for this HU5 girl and I love rocking up for a cuppa, sitting in peace knowing my place is a five minute sunny walk away.

Knew it and so did you

We all know a messy chef

I have an infinitive love for gelato and ice cream
Yes, you read right gelato and ice cream
I have had both far and wide all over the world
Upon having a foodie conversation
(very normal in my world)
I was told about
Zachary's
Of course, an eager friend took me, I have to say this far out ways any other in Hull
Yes I said it and it's true, not only is it very very pretty.
Matching the famous Harrods parlor (Yes I have been and it was divine) even dare I say my favorite and adored Fortnum and Masion
(forgive me F&M you have my heart)
This is a pure delight, devoted to splendid decor high back stools, studded and glorious.
Padded and sumptuous seating built in with ever so pretty lighting. Zachary's has no match, the blueberry frozen yoghurt was not only crisp, sweet, generously served it was deep in flavour as well as colour.
I normally opt for a chocolate anything, through sheer unwilling and devout love for it but this was a very fair trade and now I want more!

Feet dangling like a child, after all, doesn't ice cream just take you back to that time and feeling?

I work with fish most days, I never home cook fish which is crazy.
This is oven baked haddock
with a fresh mango, chipotle hot salsa
DWELL
smashing design every time
Now 'N then we all need to laugh
COS gauffing (mainly that word)
is for w@nkers, remember that the urban dictonary can make you sound like a total shitter

Hello and welcome back
This blog is dedicated to
Poorboy Boutique
N0 17 Humber Street, Hull

Pre-opening party night

Facbeook

Website

Poorboy is sat on a street lined with gold.
A street with a past and  a present.
As a Hull grown girl Humber Street was where the wishing well was as a kid.
Where the streets was littered with boxes from fruit 'n veg sold that morning. Sorted and sent out, men at work and bars.

Humber Street had a 're birth with splendour and glory.
Rumours are that Humber Street is too clean and is been taken over by chains.
Poorboy is no big high street chain though, don't be fooled by the gloss, new buildings etc etc.
Poorboy is what's good about Hull and our vintage found love.
We've got style, an edge and we ain't frightened to let loose and be individual.
Yep, that's right we have an edge we didn't get City Of Culture for been mediocre.
Poorboy is a mix, it's got it!
Take Herschel, one of my fave brands
When did you last see a stockist?
The last one I saw was in the south of France, Biarritz where I holiday.
Great label, sought after, on trend and not so basic.
Huge respect to Poorboy for supporting and supplying Paul for brain recovery
A little snipppet from Paul and the good cause
We are a charity that was founded by a brain injury survivor – Paul Spence. Because of this we have an understanding of what people are up against!

Paul started his brain recovery in 2012. He faced a long difficult recovery and realised the lack of support in the community. We know that people are left lost, lonely, confused and vulnerable after brain injury. The injury can come with devastating consequences and be life changing for everyone affected. For those reasons, there needs to be somewhere to go, a lifeline, a place were they can get comfort, support, education and inspiration. PAUL For brain recovery exists to make life easier after brain injury by providing advice and support to empower all affected by brain injury.
Here at PAUL For Brain Recovery we support people across a broad spectrum of injuries/conditions and have aided them through the subsequent challenges that follow at different stages of their recovery

Poorboy influenced many people do drop by, turn up and buy on the invite only night.
High turn out, happy faces along with great food and great music.

Sparking interest from all over the street

Need to know more, of course you do
Poorboy was conceived by the fusing together of two polar opposites, thrift and luxury, two words which are rarely spoken of in the same breath. We source and explore all corners of the globe for unique, vintage pieces that are a sight to behold. We bring the past crashing into the present and give them a new lease of life. Following the success of concessions in both BANK clothing stores and selfridges, Poorboy Boutique is the first stand alone store to be opened under the brand. We stock one off vintage items, Poorboy : Remade (vintage garments that are re-worked and tailored for a unique style with attention to detail) and exclusive brands. Poorboy is the ideal repository for aesthetic splendour and true craftsmanship.

Cloths full of colour, texture and enough choice for the most descerning of customer
