NOURISHMENT

Describes the food we ate in her own words

Lahpet, also spelled laphet, lephet or leppet is Burmese for fermented or pickled tea.

Burma is one of very few countries where tea is eaten as well as drunk. Its pickled tea is

unique in the region, and is not only regarded as the national delicacy but plays a

significant

role in Burmese society. It is highly placed in the cuisine of Burma. It tastes like a very

garlicky pesto and is enjoyed eaten with nuts and garlic, rolled in cabbage leaves for crunch

The dining room which sits at the back of the building my dining table sits in the bay window amongst the canopy of the trees.

Dinners have been prepared loved cooked and eaten

The dining table is always covered in flowers and pretties

The flowers are not just on the dining table

Then to hit my local high street to enjoy the sunshine this Saturday gone
