Hull Venue announces first acts/Press release

Hello
Welcome back
This morning was very exciting
Opening my emails and
Hull Venue sent me some eagerly anticipated news
Hull Venue is a state-of-the-art, music and events complex with up to 3,500 seats, that will allow Hull to attract large corporate conferences, exhibitions and trade tours as well as major touring concerts, stand-up comedy, family shows and sporting events. The plans include the building of the new centre, alongside the rebuilding of Osborne Street carpark and additional public spaces in a currently derelict area on Myton Street behind Princes Quay.
Strictly may not be 'my bag' but I do know a lovely lady who is a Milner for Strictly and she's the only go to lady!
Bringing in millions of viewers and showcasing some of our most talented dancers.

The League Of Gentleman with a huge cult following bring home one of our very own.

Anything Queen related will instantly sell out
Not only is Queen synonymous it's nostalgic
Here's the formal release
UNDER STRICT EMBARGO UNTIL 9AM MONDAY, 12 FEBRUARY

THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN TOUR TO VISIT HULL VENUE THIS SEPTEMBER
Hull's very own Reece Shearsmith is to bring The League of Gentlemen to the region's newest venue this September. The cult TV show - which will visit Hull Venue on 4 September - is one of three events announced by the venue today.

Strictly Come Dancing - The Professionals will visit Hull Venue on 19 May 2019 while Roger Taylor & Brian May's Queen Extravaganza will visit on 28 October. Tickets for all three shows go on sale later this week. The League of Gentlemen will return to the stage in 2018 for their first UK tour in over 12 years with their brand new live show ‘The League of Gentlemen Live Again!’ See BAFTA Award-winning comedy legends Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton, Mark Gatiss and Jeremy Dyson bring their dark and unhinged fictional village of Royston Vasey to theatres and arenas across the country. The critically acclaimed black comedy which originally ran from 1999 – 2002 on BBC Two, also returned to our television screens last Christmas to celebrate 20 years since the show began. Strictly Come Dancing - The Professionals will visit Hull Venue in Spring 2019. Direct from BBC One’s award-winning prime-time TV show Strictly Come Dancing, this glamorous production will bring together some of our much-loved Strictly Professional dancers as they take to the stage to dazzle with their dance prowess. Audiences will enjoy the incredible talent of these world-class dancers as they perform exquisitely choreographed Ballroom and Latin routines with all the sequins, sparkle and stunning production values we have come to know and love! The Queen Extravaganza – described by Roger Taylor himself as ‘a rock celebration in the Royal tradition’ and designed to enable new fans together with fans of old to celebrate the music of Queen - will play shows across England and Scotland beginning the end of October 2018 in Edinburgh with the tour winding up in London on November 22.

The 2018 shows will be billed as the ‘Queen’s Greatest Hits Tour’ with the promise to deliver all the hits any Queen fan could want to hear - “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “Under Pressure Dan Harris, General Manager at Hull Venue, said: "We are delighted to announce our first three shows, particularly Reece Shearsmith's 'homecoming' with The League of Gentlemen. This will be one of the very first shows to perform at the Venue. There are lots more announcements and some really exciting events which we'll be revealing in the coming weeks." Councillor Stephen Brady, Leader of Hull City Council said: “These acts are playing at major venues across the country so this really does show the calibre of booking that Hull Venue is capable of. I’m sure we’ll see these shows sell out quickly and I look forward to seeing more big-name announcements over the coming weeks.” Tickets for The League of Gentlemen and Strictly Come Dancing - The Professionals go on sale at 10am on Thursday. Tickets for Roger Taylor & Brian May's Queen Extravaganza go on sale at 9am on Friday. Tickets will be available from www.hull-venue.co.uk and www.ticketmaster.co.uk
